Pickens' June Cruise-Ins
THE MONTH OF JUNE IS CURISE-INS IN PICKENS, SC
Again this year, the first Four Saturdays in June will see West Main Street in downtown Pickens, SC, filled with cruise-in vehicles along with the sounds of great entertainment.
June 1st the event series will open with a combination of classic and custom vehicles on display. The Katlin Owen Band will provide the country music entertainment.
June 8th, motorcycles will come to town and enjoy rock and roll with the Sideman.
June 15th, will be an “open” cruise-in. It will be a chance for entrants to showcase all kinds of vehicles – classic and custom cars, trucks, motorcycles and more. Entertainment will come from The Marvin King Band.
June 22nd, Jeeps will be featured on the final evening, along with the sweet sounds of bluegrass – The New Dixie Storm.
Food and beverage will be available and other surprises are planned. All four Saturday evenings are free to the general public. Everyone is encouraged to bring a folding chair or blankets for amphitheater seating. In the event of bad weather June 29th will be a “rain date”
The cruise-ins will be held on a closed section of Main Street between Hwy 178 and Catherine Street. Vehicles participating in a cruise-in should check-in from Garvin Street between 5:30pm and 6:30pm. Public viewing of the will begin at 6:30pm each Saturday and entertainment starting at 7:00pm.
Presented by the Pickens Revitalization Association (PRA), this year’s event sponsors include the historic city of Pickens, Gwinn’s Tire and Alignment, NAPA in Pickens, and Pace & Reeves BP.
