Over There: A Pickens County Perspective On World War I A special exhibition honoring the soldiers of WWI is now on display and will continue through February 5, 2015. This past summer marks the 100th anniversary of the beginning of World War I. The Pickens County Museum of Art & History is commemorating this event with artifacts reflecting America’s entry into the war in 1917 through the end of the war in 1918.
